Dr. Farhan Essa is the CEO of Dr. Essa’s Laboratory and Diagnostic Centre, where he has been working for more than 2 decades. He has also served as an Assistant Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at the Dow University of Health Sciences, where he was also a member of the Research Advisory Committee.

Talib Karim being the President of IoBM is an advocate for increased investment in STEM education and programs designed to increase our nation’s innovation workforce. Talib writes on innovation issues and also leads a consulting firm that offers government relations and technology solutions for non-profits, businesses, and governments. A lawyer and engineer by training, he previously served as the chief health and technology counsel for Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee. In addition, as a senior counsel with the U.S. House of Representatives Veterans Affairs Committee, Talib help lead investigations into ending the backlog of veterans disability benefit claims.

Masarrat Misbah, a beautician of international repute turned philanthropist is one of the most successful entrepreneurs in Pakistan. She is the pioneer of beauty business in Pakistan. She heads Deilex Beauty Clinic and Institute established over thirty years back, which now has 35 branches and frenchises across Pakistan. Her charismatic and promising personality reflects vividly her love for beauty and more importantly her response and sensitivity for those who have accidentally lost it. In 2005, Ms. Masarrat Misbah established Depilex Smileagain Foundation to help acid burn victims through medical treatment, psycho-social support and skill training for their rehabilitation.

Ambreen Khan is a fashion designer, educator, and a TV personality, who has been working in the Southeast Asian corridor on programs focusing on women for more than a decade. She is the first ever fashion designer from beautiful valley of Hunza, at the heart of Himalayas and situated in the northern part of Pakistan. For more than decade she has been an ardent supporter of women empowerment in south and central Asia and has brought her expertise in fashion and apparel design to programs supporting young girls and adult females in different wakes of life. Her fashion design work has been featured at international fashion shows in UK, China and Norway. Muhammad Azfar Ahsan is a Change Activist, non-partisan Political Analyst and Entrepreneur based out of Pakistan.

Azfar served as President of Rotary Club of Karachi Green City, the first Breakfast Rotary Club of Rotary International District 3271. He also served as Chairman of Foreign Relations Committee of Rotary International District 3271. In last fifteen years, he managed dozens of community projects all over Pakistan in the field of health and education.

Azeem Iqbal Pirani is one of the founding trustees at Ihsaas Trust. A Shariah compliant microfinance provider which aims to help its brothers and sisters become self-reliant. He is also the Regional Head for Pakistan at FWU AG. His career has spanned over 15 years and covered Pak-Qatar Family Takaful and Meezan Bank Limited. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Islamic Banking and Finance from the Center of Islamic Economics in Pakistan, an MBA in International Business from the University of New Brunswick in Canada, and a BBA in Finance from the University of Houston in the United States.

Syed Farukh Mazhar, a qualified Chartered Accountant, completed his articleship from Ford Rhodes Robson Morrow. Prior to SGS, he worked with Metropole and Pakistan Service Limited (PSL). He has been with SGS since 1990, where he was appointed as the Director Finance. In 1997, he was promoted to Managing Director of the organization where his vast portfolio of responsibilities include total management of the company, overseeing the entire regional operations and ensuring that SGS Pakistan offers the best in ISO certification. Syed Farukh Mazhar is a leading personality in matters relating to quality standards and has travelled extensively in relation to his work requirements. SGS Pakistan (Pvt.) Zaki Ahmed Sharif is an Alumnus of Institute of Business Administration (IBA), class of 1982. He has served numerous social and economic causes during his time as a student and later, in a professional capacity. Actively participated in Leo Club of Lions International from class X onwards in several humanitarian initiatives for the underprivileged have nots. Was elected Faculty Representative Pharmacy Faculty at the Karachi University in 1976.
He was the youngest Lion’s Club President of Shaheed e Millat Lions Club (1982), among the Lion’s International Fraternity.
He is the founder and former President of Pharmaceutical Professional’s Club in 1989.
He has been a Council Member of Marketing Association of Pakistan (MAP) for three consecutive terms (1990-1996).
He was also the Vice President of MAP in 1995. While in this capacity, he coordinated with Minister of Planning Mr. Ahsan Iqbal, for Pakistan Vision 2010. He mobilized six CEO’s from leading MNCs, namely Parke David, Philips, Citi Bank, Reckitt & Colman, MRM Associates and Dadex, to actively participate in the activity. These high profile CEOs then sat together in a boardroom at Philips and deliberated for more than 18hours to make a marketing plan for VISION 2010, the aim of which was to market Pakistan to the world.
Zaki started his own business in 2010, initially as a dealer for Engro Polymers and Chemicals Ltd; before diversifying in 2013 into research-based, high-quality manufacturing and marketing of FMCG homecare and personal care products.
He was the Chairman of Standing Committee of FPCCI on Whole Sellers and Retailer; Chemical Industries in Sind Region and currently at KATI he is the Chairman Standing Committee on Workshops and Seminars. He is on the Executive Committee of KATI.
He is on the Pakistan Malaysia Business Council and also Pakistan Vietnam Business Council.
